Terms of service
These terms govern your studio's use of Ambia. They are written to be read once and understood — where a clause has a practical consequence for how you work, we say so in plain terms alongside it.
This document is a working draft for review, not a signed or effective agreement. Nothing on this page creates a binding obligation until Ambia publishes a final version with a real effective date.
The agreement
By creating an Ambia account you agree to these terms on behalf of the studio or organisation you name during signup. If you are not authorised to bind that organisation, do not create the account.
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to account owners at least 30 days before they take effect, and the previous version stays available.
Your account
You are responsible for the credentials of everyone you invite, and for removing seats when people leave. Access is per-person; shared logins are a security problem rather than a licensing one, and we would rather you added a seat.
Your models and your rights in them
You keep every right you have in the geometry you upload. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership, and nothing gives us a licence to use your models beyond what is technically required to process them and serve the walks you publish.
We do not use your models to train machine-learning systems, we do not share them with other customers, and we do not use them in our own marketing without written permission for each specific project.
Your models stay yours. We process them to produce your walk and for nothing else.
What Ambia does with an upload
Processing validates the geometry, derives a collision representation from your surfaces, optimises meshes and textures for streaming, and produces a poster frame. Derived artefacts exist to serve your walk and are deleted with the asset.
We keep your original upload so you can re-process or export it. You can delete it at any time, which also deletes everything derived from it.
Share links and published spaces
A share link is unguessable but public by default: anyone holding it can walk the space without signing in. Password protection, expiry dates and named-viewer access are available, and it is your responsibility to choose the level of protection a project needs.
You can unpublish or reissue a link at any time. Reissuing invalidates the previous URL immediately, including for anyone who has it open.
Treat an unprotected link like an unlisted document, not a locked one. If the project is confidential, put a password on it.
Acceptable use
Do not upload geometry you do not have the rights to distribute, use Ambia to host content unrelated to architectural or spatial work, attempt to extract other customers' data, or resell access as your own viewer product.
Availability and support
We aim for continuous availability of published walks and publish incidents on our status page. Paid plans get support by email during UK working hours; Enterprise agreements may carry a contractual SLA, which then takes precedence over this section.
Processing is a queue. We give an honest median rather than a guaranteed time, except where an SLA says otherwise.
Fees, trials and cancellation
Trials require no card and end without charge. Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose and are not pro-rated on downgrade within a period.
If you cancel, published links keep working for 30 days, after which assets become read-only and links serve a holding page rather than disappearing. Export remains available throughout.
Your client will never hit a dead link because your card expired. They will hit a holding page, and you get 30 days' notice.
Liability
Ambia is provided as-is to the extent the law allows. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost commissions or lost competitions.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from studio settings. We may terminate for material breach of these terms, non-payment after notice, or unlawful use, and will give you a reasonable opportunity to export first except where the law prevents it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Where you are contracting as a consumer, your local statutory rights are unaffected.
